Meet

tanika Parker

Tanika is a New York native, baking master and owner of Doughgirl Cupcakes.  While growing up, many weekends were spent in the kitchen coming up with new and exciting flavors to bake into confectionary treats. There, her passion for baking was born and never left her side. 

As she grew older her path deviated, working at the post office and pursuing her education.

But, like many of us during the pandemic, Tanika decided to do some soul searching and dive back into her true passion. Baking!

She started to make cupcakes and cakes for her friends and families events, and from there Doughgirl Cupcakes was born. Set with only 2 customers and a dream, Tanika made her store a reality. Opening the first Doughgirl Cupcakes on Marcus Garvey 5 years ago.

Thousands of customers, hundreds of cakes, and a couple of store locations later Doughgirl Cupcakes has made its way back home to Bed Stuy on Stuyvesant Ave.
